The CHS is a large, interconnected complex located in the southeastern quadrant of the UCLA Westwood Campus. As part of greater seismic remediation to the first level of the David Geffen School of Medicine, SKA was asked to prepare an updated wayfinding signage program. The system places major wayfinding signs at key decision points, and supplemental directional information along primary paths of travel. A lettered corridor information system reinforces navigation, while you-are-here maps on each level utilize digital technology to provide instant orientation. Large changeable signs round out the program. Sign materials venerate both the original and new architecture, and colors and graphics reinforce the branding identity.
