A successful fundraising campaign supported the construction of the 13,865 sq. ft. Alumni & Visitors Center, which provides a gathering place for UCR alumni, visitors and friends complete with meeting space, a formal boardroom, offices, a library, and a café. The building’s glass-clad exterior is sleek and contemporary, while encircling verandas, courtyards and gardens lend an artistically organic touch to the center’s design.
Retained for their donor recognition expertise, SKA created a donor program that celebrates this architectural character. A composition of stainless steel, decorative metal and glass distinguish the design, and the primary donor wall located in the lobby employs edge-lit frosted acrylic panels to provide luminescence that mimics the ambient atmosphere. In addition to the lobby wall, the donor program is rounded out with room plaques and dimensional letters that strategically complement the overall design program.
