Recent projects include:

USC VERNA AND PETER DAUTERIVE HALL

SKA Design developed the interior sign program for the USC Verna and Peter Dauterive Hall on the USC campus. The building consists of 6 levels, with 110,000 gsf. While the traditional appearance of the building exterior integrates into the USC campus, its interior is contemporary, with a large central open atrium.

For the identification signage, SKA Design incorporated the USC gold and cardinal red school colors into a unique “aural web” graphic background design. For the wayfinding signage, the firm made use of the building’s open atrium design by incorporating wayfinding into large wall graphics visible throughout the building. Additionally, USC accepted the firm’s design for a large hanging kinetic art piece to utilize the negative space of the open atrium.

CEDARS ADVANCED HEALTH SCIENCES PAVILION

SKA Design developed a comprehensive site and building (interior and exterior) sign program for the Cedars-Sinai Advanced Health Sciences Pavilion, which is home to both outpatient care and scientific research. Six of the 11 stories are devoted to parking as a means to simplify access to the clinics on the upper levels.

KAISER ANTELOPE VALLEY MEDICAL OFFICE BUILDING

SKA Design developed the interior and exterior sign programs for a new Kaiser Permanente medical office campus, located on a Greenfield 44-acre site within the City of Lancaster. The building is a new 66-provider, 136,580 sf medical office that supports 20 specialties with 94 exam rooms, 3 major procedure rooms, a chemotherapy and non-chemotherapy infusion center, imaging, lab draw, and an outpatient pharmacy. The site includes a community wellness center with exercise stations, walking trails, an amphitheater and a farmer’s market.
